Makeup---sorry guys, another girly post.

I don't wear makeup. "Why not?" people ask. "Is it like a church thing or something?" And no, it isn't, if you were wondering also. And I'm not Amish. Or even Morman, for that matter. :D So, why then? For a few reasons, and since this is my blog, I shall state them right...here. :D

#1: It's easy to overdo. Very, very easy to overdo. I have seen many beautiful young women who looked like they had a mask on. Or worse, looked like they just came from a nightclub. This is not to say it can't be done correctly, but I do not have the wish to work with it right now, esp for reason #2.

#2: It clogs pores. As a very acne-prone teen, I have enough trouble as it is, so I don't need anything else. :P

#3: I want people to see me how I really am. I am not perfect, nor is my skin. I don't want to wake up and have makeup smudged everywhere, esp with the work I have to do.... :D Farm work and makeup refuse to work together! :P

So, "will you ever wear makeup?" Maybe. But I don't have plans right now. :D "Would I wear stage makeup?" Absolutly. There is no sense in looking like a seasick mariner. :D

A Jane Austen Quiz!

I am Elizabeth Bennet!

Take the Quiz here!

Well, of course I would be. :D
This is what it says about me...
You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

That "tremendously attractive" part rocks! :D I didn't know that... but faults! ee...faults? Me? :D LOL
Guys, there is one for you, but I don't know where...look it up!

Have as good a day as we are!

The Bees and Me!

Well, as many of you know, last year we started our adventure with Bees last year, and it has been a very interesting and wonderful experience! Sadly, one of our hives did not make it, but we still have one, as far as we know. (for those of you who don't know lots about Bees, you can't open the hives during the winter, because it gets to cold for them.
Here are some pictures...

Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Southerner?

Borrowed from Nathaniel Brayden...this was WAY to good not to post! :-)

The answer can be found by answering the following question:
You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.
Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock .40 caliber, and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?

Republican's Answer:
BANG!
Democrat's Answer:
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and make this happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus.
Southerner's Answer:
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click..... (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! Click "Shucks! I'm out!"
Daughter: "Nice pattern Daddy! Were those the Silver Tips, black talons, or them new Hollow Points?"
Son: "Can I shoot the next one Daddy?"
Wife: "You ain't takin' THAT to no Taxidermist!"
