Well, since it is of general custom to introduce yourself, I shall attempt to do that here. Most of you guys know me already, but for those of you who don't...here goes!
My name is Katharine ( or Kate), and I am a teenage girl with a a love to serve Christ!
I live in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, on a small family farm. We've got lots of animals, including a pony, a Jersey cow, a flock of chickens, a herd of sheep, two aggravating goats, etc...
If you were wondering what I like to do...I like to write, write, write! :)
Also, I like guns knives, cows, country fairs, farming, hiking alone in the woods, anything and everything outside and of course, Civil War reenacting!
My mission in life is to be a wife and mother, and also to sing professionally if I can. ( I try to practice a hour a day). And of course, as one old farmer told me, " I've got farming in my blood". I couldn't give that up! But the most important mission is to serve GOD. Without him, I don't want to think how my life would be!
This year is a turning point in my life, as I begin now things, follow new ways, and see what all GOD has planned! Come with me, dear friends. The best is yet to come!
I'd love to hear from you! You can always leave a comment or write me at:

This is a test comment...I suspect Kate will delete it when she returns... :P
I will do no such thing! :) As a matter of fact folks, Elisabeth fixed the comment glitch that was going on! Let's all give her a hand of applause! ( Now she is going to kill me...:P)
Thanks for the update, and for watching my blog! I'm jealous of your determination in practicing singing 1 hour a day!
